Country endpoint support

Note that you have to use the gate.smartproxy.com endpoint and the 7000 port to use SOCKS5. Country endpoints like us.smartproxy.com will not work!

You can instead target specific locations by specifying the location in your username using the Single backconnect entry node method:

• e.g.: user-SPusername-country-us will connect to the USA pool.
• You can find out more in our detailed backconnect guides for Residential and Mobile proxies.

Proxy rotation

To get a sticky SOCKS5 proxy in a tool, you must use a session parameter, othersiwe, the proxy will always rotate even with a sessionduration parameter.

• The session ID, can be defined by any string of your choice.
• You can find out more in our detailed backconnect guides for Residential and Mobile proxies.

Tun2Socks App

1. Download the application from the Play Store on your device.
2. Once you open the app, fill in the required fields:
   • Socks host - enter the endpoint (e.g. gate.smartproxy.com) or the IP here.
   • Port - enter the port (e.g. 7000)
   • Tap the Enable Authentication checkmark.
   • Username - enter the proxy username.
   • Password - enter the proxy password.

3. Tap the Start button to activate the proxies.

4. To see if the proxy is working, check the IP on https://ip.smartproxy.com/json.
