Fair usage policy

The fair usage policy affects unlimited Datacenter Pay/IP bandwidth options to maintain service consistency.

Dynamic thread limitations

To ensure fair use of services and maintain optimal performance for all customers, we apply the Fair Usage Policy (FUP) for unlimited bandwidth options when both of the following conditions are met:

  1. Total traffic usage for a subscription period exceeds 10TB, AND
  2. Traffic per individual IP exceeds 25GB.

📘

How FUP limitations work

Once your usage exceeds the traffic limits described above, we take measures to ensure fair usage across all users and reduce the number of concurrent sessions available for the remaining subscription period.

The dynamic threshold is calculated as 25GB for every IP. For example:

  1. If you have purchased 1000 IPs and a limit of 3000 threads, the FUP threshhold will be 25TB (25GB times 1000). Once this limit of 25TB is reached and the fair usage policy applied, concurrent sessions will be reduced from 3000 threads to a limit of 10.

  2. However, If you have purchased 100 IPs, the FUP limitations will only take affect if you exceed 10TB of data usage.
  • The fair usage policy limitations are reset after a new subscription period is started.

Default thread limitations

During checkout, you can select from two options for the number of concurrent sessions:

  • 1000 threads – default price.
  • 3000 threads – for an extra +40% of the plan price.
  • You can change these limits during manual renewal, upgrading, or downgrading.

🚧

Thread limits per proxy user

The amount of limited threads is distributed equally among all proxy users you have.

For example, if you have selected 3000 threads and have 5 proxy users – each proxy user will have a limit of 600 concurrent threads.
