How to set up a proxy on Firefox browser

1. Open Firefox on a computer.
2. Click on Settings☰ icon > Settings (or Preferences on macOS).

3. Click the General tab.
4. Scroll down to the Network Settings section and click Settings.

5. Check the Manual proxy configuration box.
6. Add endpoint (e.g.: gate.smartproxy.com) and port (e.g.: 7000) to HTTP Proxy field.
7. Select the Also use this proxy for HTTPS checkbox.

8. Click OK.
9. To see if the proxy is working, check the IP on https://ip.smartproxy.com/json.

If you do not have a whitelisted IP you will get asked for username and password for your proxy user when trying to open a website, in such case simply enter the credentials and click Sign in
